How Your Result Is Calculated

The cost of a place includes getting there

Monthly commuting trips = office days per week × 52 ÷ 12. Fuel cost = one-way miles × 2 ÷ MPG × price per gallon × monthly trips. Daily round-trip tolls are added per trip. Housing includes rent, utilities, parking, and your other monthly expenses.
